Both light weight and heavy duty polytarps used for temporary protection are also kept in stock in a variety of sizes including as large as 50 ft. x 100 ft. For this reason, Foster Tarps & Canvas Products has experienced sales representatives available to advise you in what may be the best choice to meet your special needs. The representatives can assist you in determining the required use for the tarpaulins, which will help to determine the material selection.
The proper selection of tarpaulin material will ensure that the tarpaulin will do the job it is intended to do. Material issues to consider are: size, color(s), material weight in ounces per square yard, resistance to fire, mildew, and water, type of fabric, puncture and tear resistance, static free, and any needed accessories such as grommets, cable ties, pockets, rubber straps and hooks, pipe fittings, cut outs, etc. Careful thought should be put into only those items that will ensure that the tarpaulin meets your required needs.

"D" TARPAULIN
A "D" Tarpaulin is fire, water, and mildew retardant and made of a tough vinyl-laminated nylon cloth, yellow on one side and white on the other. The yellow is used as a caution tool for high visibility. The white side is used for light reflection when working in a dark area such as a manhole. This tarpaulin is provided with grommets for rope attachments. The "D" Tarpaulin comes in four popular sizes.

"B" TARPAULINS
These olive-green lightweight tarpaulins are equipped with grommets for easy rope attachment around the work area. The tarpaulins are made of fire, mildew, and water retardant shelter tent army duck with a vinyl rinse. The vinyl after finish gives the tarpaulins a soft, dry, clean surface which allows it to be used anywhere.

The Portable Tarpaulin is used to cover and protect computer terminals and inside plant equipment. It can be used to protect outside plant equipment as well. This durable gray color tarpaulin is made of a tough vinyl-laminated nylon cloth that is fire, water and mildew retardant. JUNK BAG / COAL BAG
This sturdy bag can be used for carrying almost anything. It is made of a No. 4 heavy-duty white canvas and has a double bottom for long wear. Carrying handles are made of 1-1/2 inch wide cotton web for an easy and comfortable grip. The junk bag is sometimes referred to as a Coal Bag and is tough enough to hold very heavy items.
