FOSTER OUTSIDE PLANT DIVISION TENTS
"H" AERIAL TENT TEMPORARY OUT OF PRODUCTION The "H" Aerial Tent is made from a heavy-duty white canvas duck that is fire, water, and mildew retardant with a vinyl after finish. The "H" Aerial Tent has vertical openings with supplementary T-shape openings on two sides and a translucent top to provide light inside the tent. The tent has roll-up sidewalls for convenience and guy ropes anchor the tent in position. The tent frame consists of a rigid center bow and two side bows. A latched sleeve slides up and down the center bow, connecting the three bows so the side bows can be securely locked open while using the tent. The special aluminum frame has unique, yet simple clamps that allows one man to easily attach the tent to the cable. The tent is 8'8" high, 47.5" along the strand, and 54.5" wide. The "H" Aerial Tent Cover may be purchased separately and fits all standard aerial tent frames.
"B" TENT BAG The "B" Tent Bag is constructed from a extra heavy cotton duck for the best possible protection. The bag has a full length closure system with spliced ropes that are threaded through four pair of riveted grommet holes spaced evenly along the length of the bag. The "B" Tent Bag can be used for the "D" Workman's Tent or the "H" Aerial Tent.
MANHOLE TENT TEMPORARY OUT OF PRODUCTION This tent is used in conjunction with the manhole guard rail. The cover is made of tough canvas with a vinyl after finish and is fire, water, and mildew retardant. The full-height front opening in the cover has snap hooks and dee rings to keep the tent flaps closed. The tent's frame consists of two 29" L pipes. Each 1" diameter pipe has an elbow at one end and a 4" L steel pin at the other. The two pins fit into the front of the right and left uprights on the guard rail, while the elbows fit into sleeves sewn into the inside front corners of the cover for fast, simple attachment. The Manhole tent is 70" high, 36" wide, and with a 36" diameter. The Manhole Tent Cover may be purchased separately and fits all standard manhole tent frames.
"C" LADDER TENT IN STOCK A one-man tent designed for the cable splicer who usually works from a ladder or aerial perch. The tent cover is a durable heavy-duty white canvas duck that is fire, water, and mildew retardant with a vinyl after finish for long wear. The cover is reinforced with double material to resist wear from the ladder. The rugged tent frame consists of two corrosion resistant clamps connected by three lengths of 5/16" diameter galvanized steel strand. When setting up the tent, the clamps are fasten to the messenger in two places, forming a wide and roomy 42" diameter circle that supports the cover. The tent cover may be purchase separately and fits standard "C" Ladder Tent frames.
GROUND TENT TEMPORARY OUT OF PRODUCTION The high quality Ground Tent cover is made of fire, water and mildew retardant canvas with a vinyl after finish. A one foot sod flap on all sides seals off floor drafts for extra protection from the cold or inclement weather. Snap hooks and dee rings attached along the opening are used for a secure closure. The sturdy tent frame is collapsible for easy storage and tent set-up. The hinged legs fold easily, yet locks firmly in place with a metal sleeve. The frame is made of a tough tubular steel for durability. The tent is 6'5" high and 6'10" by 6'10" at the base. The tent cover may be purchased separately and fits any standard ground tent frame.
"D" WORKMAN'S TENT TEMPORARY OUT OF PRODUCTION The "D" Workman's Tent can be set-up by one person in only a few minutes on most suspension strands. The tent cover is fire, water and mildew retardant with a vinyl after finish. The cover has a translucent top that allows natural light in the tent. The tent has two vertical openings with supplementary T-shape openings on opposite sides for easy entrance and exit. The tent is equipped with a drawstring in the bottom hem that allows you to gather up the lower end of the tent to cut down on drafts in cold weather. The upper part is reinforced to reduce wear from ladder contact. Guy ropes are provided for anchoring the tent on windy days. The framework is comprised of three bows with hinged corners so you can fold the legs for easy storage. The legs are held in place on the strand by a sturdy clamp assembly. Each clamp has an adjustable screw with a large, low-effort hand knob so you can quickly attach it to the strand without the use of tools. The tent can be mounted on the lower strand of a multicable simply by removing one of the two side bows on each clamp. Tent dimensions are 8'8" high, 42" wide, and 48" in diameter. The tent cover may be ordered separately and fits any standard "D" Workman's Tent frame.
